Wireless charging: a receiver coil on the vehicle sits above a transmitter coil in the ground pad, offset sideways by a misalignment distance. Δx Receiver on vehicle Transmitter ground pad
Concept schematic drawn for this page, not a screenshot.

Problem

A parked car rarely sits exactly above its charging pad, and misalignment between the transmitter and receiver coils reduces how much power gets across.

Solution

A MATLAB simulation that studies the effect of coil misalignment on wireless charging efficiency.
